Terms of use

William Belle LLC · support@williambelle.co · Last updated August 15, 2026

These terms cover williambelle.co: the pages, the guides, and the forms on it. Work I do for you is covered by the client terms, which you accept along with a proposal.

Using this site

Read it, use what you learn, and share links to it.

What you may not do: copy the guides or the example handover to publish as your own, scrape the site to train a model or build a competing library, or try to reach parts of it that are not open to you.

The guides are general information, not advice about your firm

Several pages here name real rules — the FTC Safeguards Rule, HIPAA, and what a customer security review asks for. They explain how those rules tend to land on a small firm's application, in general.

They are not legal, tax, accounting, or compliance advice, and reading one does not make me your engineer, your lawyer, or your advisor. Whether a particular rule applies to your firm, and what it requires of you, depends on facts this site does not know. Ask a professional who knows them.

Prices and timelines on this site are indications. What binds either of us is a quote you accepted.

Getting in touch does not start anything

Sending the contact form or booking a call creates no engagement and no obligation on either side. A project starts when I send you a quote and you accept it.

The free review is what it says: twenty minutes, and what I would fix first. It is a conversation, not a deliverable, and nothing said in it is a warranty about your app.

What you send me

Do not send another person's records through the forms here. The forms ask about your app and your project, and that is all they are for. Anything you do send, you are confirming you have the right to send.

Ownership

The writing, the guides, the code samples, and the design of this site are mine unless they say otherwise. The example handover is published so you can see what the document looks like; use it to evaluate the work, not to resell it.

Your own material stays yours, always. So does every cloud account, every repository, and all of the code I write for you, which is the point of the whole arrangement.

The booking page loads a scheduler from Cal.com, and some guides link to Microsoft's documentation and to other companies' pages. I do not control any of them and I am not responsible for what they say or do.

No warranty, and what I am liable for

This site is provided as it is. I keep it accurate and I correct it when it is wrong, but I do not warrant that every page is current or that it fits your situation.

I am not liable for anything you do or do not do based on reading this site. That includes decisions about your own app's security and about which rules apply to you. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to $100.

If you are a client, this section is about the site. What I owe you on your project is in your agreement, not here.

Ohio law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Disputes belong in the state and federal courts sitting in Ohio.

Changes

I can change these terms. The date at the top moves when I do, and using the site after that is accepting the new version.

Questions go to support@williambelle.co.

Twenty minutes, and no pitch.

I'll tell you what I'd fix first in what you've built, and why. No pitch.
